What does the Board of Grievances have jurisdiction over?
The Board of Grievances is the administrative judiciary of the Kingdom. Its Administrative Courts hear cases concerning the rights of government employees, actions to annul final administrative decisions and claims for compensation arising from them, disputes over contracts to which a government body is a party, and other matters set out in its law.
Is there a deadline for claiming employment rights?
Yes. Cases before the Board of Grievances are subject to statutory time limits that vary by type of case, and the right to have a case heard may lapse once they expire. It is therefore advisable to consult a lawyer as early as possible.
Must a grievance be filed with the government body before going to court?
In many annulment actions the law requires a grievance to be submitted to the body that issued the decision before the case is filed. Whether this applies to you depends on the type and date of the decision.
