Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a stage before the Labor Court?

Most labor claims first go through amicable settlement at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development; if the parties do not reach agreement, the claim is referred to the Labor Court.

Is there a time limit for labor claims?

A claim for rights under an employment contract will not be heard after twelve months from the date the employment relationship ended.

Are government employees subject to the Labor Law?

Government employees are generally governed by civil service and government human resources regulations, and their cases are heard by the Administrative Courts. We handle these cases under a separate practice area: Administrative Litigation & Public Employment Rights.
